This Conference exceeded my expectations. We had hoped that the gaming and chats and interactive sessions would build up as the conference went along. But wow, even before the conference the chats and visits to the virtual exhibitors were going strong. And once the conference began with our epic national anthem and continued into the volunteer of the year awards, it was so much fun to see the chat box flying with reactions.
And while we thought attendees would enjoy having six-months of access to recorded sessions, it was rewarding to see so many access recordings during the conference.
But some of the greatest wows came from our sponsors and from you. We nearly doubled our budget for sponsorships and were humbled by having ten, Ten, TEN Premier Sponsors. Thank you again to our Premier Sponsors: CalPERS, CalPERS Actuarial Resource, ClientFirst Technology Consulting, HdL Companies, LSL CPAs, MGO, PFM Asset Management LLC, The Pun Group Account & Advisors, Tyler Technologies and UFI Financial Solutions.
And conference registration far exceeded our expected 1,080 attendees.
I want to end this message with how the conference began and concluded, with a deep thank you. Thank you to all our sponsors. Thank you to all our conference attendees. Thank you to our keynote speakers, and volunteer presenters and moderators from our 48 concurrent sessions. Thank you to our virtual conference hosts. Thank you to all the staff who brought our vision to life. Thank you to the CSMFO Board and now Past President Steve Heide for their support. But especially thank you to all the volunteers in our Program and Host Committees who imagined what was possible and developed the “how”.
I’m so humbled and forever proud for everyone who had a role to make it happen so that we created a mission: possible experience that helped you move through yesterday and tomorrow’s finance challenges so that we can move Together Toward Tomorrow.
